Rainbows! Wow. I wish. We have found green side and tessellated and very occasionally something we can't ID. For sunfish I have only seen greens. Rock, small, and large mouth bass. Yellow bullhead and even a a few margined madtoms. In fact, I have a fully grown madtom in a planted angel tank right now. Lots of chubs, black nose and black chin dace, but nothing else. Pumpkin Seeds I see all the time up in CT (grew up on a lake there) LOVE those fish...never kept them though.
A few of us from the ACLC go out a few times each summer. Last year was busy and we only got out once. Most times there are 4 of us, once we has as many as 10. Right near where the Quitty drops in. Hopefully we can pick up a few more from this club.
BTW, what do you do for food? I have my bass on freeze dried blood worms but the darters only take frozen. I have a potential breeding group of greens and tessies doing their second winter on my porch. Last spring I loaded them with live black worms....they got fat, but I saw no spawning activity. I may have too many in the tank, or the wrong type of caves, or not enough flow. Maybe the water temp comes up too quickly....I don't know.

Let me know what you think of picture 6951.

I have currently some Bluegills, Pumpkinseeds, Green Sunfish, Rock Bass,
Creek Chubs, Blacknose and Rosyside Dace, Greenside,
Johnny and Rainbow Darters, as well as a few other darters and hybrid sunnies I can't
quite identify yet, I have tried collecting from the Swattie, but thus far, have only pulled out Greenies and a few Rock Bass and Bluegill. Still trying to find a reliable spot to collect rosyside daces and greenside darters from...
Oh! Yes, I have bullheads as well, Bluespotted Sunnies, and a Coosa Bass. Absolutely love collecting and finding native fish. :) No success with breeding yet, however. :/ Ever come across
Rainbow darters or Rosyside Dace?

What natives have you kept? I've been collecting in the Swatty for several years now...darters, bass, madtoms. Been trying to get the darters to breed for 5 years now but no luck. Maybe this spring.
